NJM Hosts Communication Conventions

North Jamaica Mission Communication Department took the bold and unconventional step of hosting two Communication Conventions held under the theme: Proclaiming the Gospel through Technology. The first Convention was held in the parish of St. Ann, at the St. Ann’s Bay Seventh-day Adventist Church on Sabbath, April 25; while the second took place in Trelawny at the Falmouth Seventh-day Adventist Church on Sabbath, May 9, 2009.

Prayer, a Personal Encounter with God....Brevitt - Prayer Conference 2009

Pastor Charles Brevitt, President of West Jamaica Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, reminded the congregants last Sabbath, June 6, that when you pray you will not always get what you pray for, because prayer is not just a ritual – it is a way of life. Pastor Brevitt was speaking at the North Jamaica Mission’s second annual Prayer Convention held at the Brown’s Town Seventh-day Adventist Church where Pastor Michael H. Harvey, President; Pastor Karl Archer, Secretary; and Elder Dane Ellis, Treasurer were participants in this spiritual event.

Inter-America displays commemorative Bible as a herald of world-wide Follow the Bible Initiative

As the Seventh-day Adventist Church throughout Inter-America prepares to take part in the church's world-wide initiative Follow the Bible in the coming months, a special large Bible written in 66 languages is on display now at the headquarter office in Miami, Florida, United States. This Bible is a replica of the actual Bible which has been journeying across the world to its final destination at the General Conference Session in Atlanta, Georgia, in July, 2010.
