North Jamaica Mission Holds Biennial Session with the Theme "Marketplace Ministry - Get Involved!"
The second Biennial Session of the North Jamaica Mission ASI was convened at the Ocho Rios Seventh-day Adventist Church, on April 18, 2009. Business and professional members from various congregations throughout the Mission were present for the occasion.
The officers of North Jamaica Mission were present and participated in the activities of the day.
Elder Marston Thomas, ASI Vice-President for the Inter-American Division and ASI President for West Indies Union, along with Miss Princess Lawes, ASI Secretary/Treasurer, of West Indies Union were in attendance. ASI officers of the East Jamaica and West Jamaica Conferences also attended.
Pastor Leon B. Wellington, Vice-President and ASI Coordinator of the Inter-American Division, was the guest speaker. In a spirit-filled sermon, based on Zacchaeus’ encounter with Jesus, he called upon ASI members as well as church members to become limbs on which many a 'Zacchaeus' of today can climb to see Jesus.

The Mission President, Pastor Michael H. Harvey, presided at the election of officers for the ensuing term. Those elected were:
- Mrs. Judy Morgan - President
- Miss Debbie-Ann Samuels - General Vice President
- Mr. Michael Braimbridge - Vice President for St. Ann
- Mrs. Maxine Campbell – Vice-President for Trelawny
- Mr. Paul Harding – Public Relations Officer
- Mrs. Sophia Webley-Simms – Assistant Secretary/Treasurer
- Pastor Wellesley H. Gunter was re-appointed as Secretary/Treasurer
Mr. Keith Chin, Mrs. Hazel Watkis-Wisdom, Mrs. Dorothy Warmington and Mr. Carol Stewart were elected as members of the ASI Board.
After the installation of the new officers, the gathering was blessed by inspiring reports on “Marketplace Ministry,” interspersed with powerful singing from “Chosen Voices,” and Brother Paul Harding, who also chaired this aspect of the programme.
To bring a spirit-filled day to its close, Sister Princess Lawes gave a rallying call for everyone to get involved in “Marketplace Ministry.” The activities of the day came to a grand climax, and the brethren left rejoicing in Jesus.
