The air was filled with excitement at the St. Ann's Bay High and Preparatory School on Thursday, February 8, 2007, where students from Port Maria High School, Falmouth Preparatory School and St. Ann's Bay High and Preparatory School gathered to compete in an event that was well anticipated - Inter-School Spelling Bee Competition 2007.

The competition was done in rounds and each participant had three (3) chances called "handicaps". Once these three (3) handicaps were exceeded, then the participant would be out of the competition.

Congratulations to all participants from Port Maria High, Falmouth Preparatory and St. Ann's Bay High and Preparatory School. Special congratulations to Anneke Tennyson of St. Ann's Bay High and Prep, winner in the 9-10 age group, and Roshea Stoddart also of St. Ann's Bay High and Preparatory School, winner in the 11-12 age group.
