"God's Word - Understandable, Irresistible, Transformable" - Women's Convention 2007

The Women's Ministries Department of North Jamaica Mission held its third (3rd) Annual Women's Ministries Convention at the Falmouth Seventh-day Adventist Church on Sunday, May 20, 2007, under the theme "God's Word - Understandable, Irresistible, Transformable". Women and a few men came from St. Ann and Trelawny to be empowered and inspired at this wonderful convocation.

Miss Judene Williams, Principal of the Savanna-la-Mar High School, was the devotional speaker. In her presentation, she noted that whenever we are transformed by God's Word, we are indeed "vessels of honour".

In the afternoon, Dr. Grace Kelly, Chair of the Department of Behavioural Science at Northern Caribbean University, gave a presentation on "The Transformed Woman", and Miss Debbie-Ann Samuels, an Attorney-at-law, presented on "The Legal Rights of Women in today's Society."

Special music came from uniformed women groups from Exchange, Falmouth and Deeside, as well as the North Jamaica Mission Shepherdess group.

The closing charge came from Mrs. Paulette Ambersley, first Elder of the Ocho Rios Seventh-day Adventist Church.
